Kindred Play Co. is a sister-run online small business based in Southern California! We curate design-forward toys that are sustainably made, open-ended, and super fun!

As a family, we believe that toys are meant to be experienced, enjoyed, and most importantly, shared! Not only do they allow our children to imagine and create new relationships with their environment, peers, and themselves, toys also help strengthen the bonds between friends and family. They bring us together and make us kindred.

Our goal at Kindred is not only to find the coolest toys to help build and strengthen that bond between us, but also to promote toys that encourage positive, healthy, and mindful development. That means less plastic, batteries, and buttons, and more natural and open-ended toys. We aim to source as many non-toxic, eco-friendly, inclusive, and educational products as possible, and are super excited to find and support like-minded American makers whenever we can. Ultimately, our goal at Kindred is to support like-minded makers, and sell to like-minded people.

We love being able to curate super fun play things for babies and kids with an emphasis on small-batch makers, social and environmental good, and healthy development while simultaneously feeling harmonious in our space. We hope our collection not only looks good and makes others feel good, but also does a bit of good along the way. 

Children are our future, and we want to help preserve the earth for them as much as possible. In an effort to minimize waste and reduce our carbon footprint as much as possible, we use environmentally friendly shipping supplies including our (super cute) branded biodegradable and compostable tissue, tape, shipping labels, and stickers as well as reusable and recycled mailers.
